Her babyhood

Created by Diana 15 years ago
Caroline arrived late at night during a thunderstorm, weighing a healthy 8lbs 10ozs with a mop of long dark wavy hair. She never cried, just lay in the cot where they placed her making little noises with large dark ocean eyes wide open looking around, taking us all in. My baby girl was born and my life changed more than I ever dreamed. I found I had sprouted invisible antennae that picked up every alteration in breathing, every variation in temperature, every nuance of expression in my little daughter. The change is irreversible, and I feel in my own heart every pain, every loss, every disappointment, every rebuff, every cruelty that she experienced - life long.
